Supervisor Carolyn Bragg addressed Monday’s Augusta County mass meeting for the South River District to vote for the Republican nominee for November. Bragg was appointed to the position in March when David Beyeler passed away but to remain in the seat she had to win the Republican nomination for November’s election. Congratulations on her victory.
Augusta County Republican Committee Chairman Dan Moxley opened the mass meeting but quickly lost control when temporary chairman Larry Wills was elected. Mosley and former chairman Bill Shirley had called a meeting over the weekend that disqualified sitting supervisor Carolyn Bragg and canceled the mass meeting saying there was only one viable candidate. Their ploy was quickly challenged and the meeting was to be held as publicized. Moxley left before the end of the meeting.
