Tonight: ‘American Pickers’ stop in Shenandoah Valley

American PickersBy Lynn R. Mitchell

The American Pickers guys are in the Town of Shenandoah in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for an episode tonight at 9:00 on the History Channel with Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz, and Danielle Colby Cushman.

Shenandoah is the town where Polly Campbell lives in Page County north of Elkton (see Polly Yager Campbell … growing up the shadow of Shenandoah National Park).

Virginia Is For Pickers is a new, original episode tonight of this hugely popular show that is in its sixth season and follows the travels of two friends as they crisscross the country in search of collectible items forgotten or hidden away in yards, garages, and abandoned barns. See a preview of tonight’s show here.

My husband loves this show so while visiting our daughter and son-in-law in June, we visited the Nashville American Pickers store in the downtown area. From the crowded parking lot and line at the door to get inside for a peek, it’s obvious my husband isn’t the only one who watches.

Tune in tonight and see the Pickers come to the Shenandoah Valley.
