NBC-12’s Ryan Nobles heading to D.C. to join CNN

On Monday afternoon Richmond-based WWBT NBC-12 reporter Ryan Nobles posted to his Facebook page (on the day that coincidentally happened to be his birthday):

I know this is the worst kept secret in the world … but I can now “officially” announce that the Nobles clan is headed to DC and I am taking a position as National Correspondent for CNN Newssource.

To say this is a dream come true is biggest understatement in this history of understatements.

I am so thankful for my family for their continued support and to each and every one of you that have played a role in my career.

No excuses! It’s time to start planning visits to our nation’s capital!

Nobles has been ranked by The Washington Post as one of the “Best State Based Political Reporters” in 2009 and 2013; and on POLITICO’s “50 to Watch” list in 2011.

They aren’t telling us anything we don’t already know. RVA will miss him but here’s sending best wishes as Ryan and his family head to the national’s capital.
