Boom. The Gillespie for U.S. Senate campaign ran a great ad during Monday night’s football game between the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys.
In a smack-down to Senator Mark Warner’s rubber-stamping of almost 100% of the Democratic agenda, it pointed out Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s bill to force the Redskins to change the name of their team, and Senator Warner’s refusal when twice asked to say whether he supports the bill or not.
The scene then changes to Republican Ed Gillespie who kind of chuckles and responds, “I’ll answer the question. I’ll oppose the anti-Redskins bill. Let’s focus on creating jobs, raising take-home pay, and making out nation safer, and let the Redskins handle what to call their team.”
Good call to run it during the Redskins game. One week until Election Day. Ed Gillespie for U.S. Senate.
