Last night at Tyson’s Corner, I had an opportunity to see a veteran on the stump who could responsibly attempt to fill the very big shoes of Congresswoman-elect Barbara Comstock in the House of Delegates 34th District . His name is Craig Parisot of McLean, Va. Pass the word because the firehouse primary is this Saturday. If you live in his district … vote for him.
Who is Parisot? Well, he’s a distinguished third generation Air Force veteran who has received numerous military awards and decorations including the LtGeneral John W. O’Neill award for outstanding military achievement and science. He was the youngest Air Force officer to receive this, one of their highest honors.
Parisot received an MBA from California State Polytechnic University, a BA from the University of South Carolina, and completed post-graduate work at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
The former air force captain is a self-made business man and was the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Altamira Technologies Corporation headquartered in McLean. He is also a member of the Board of Advisers of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance where he engages senior leadership in government and industry around important policy matters facing the Commonwealth and our country. He does have an extensive record of volunteerism and service to his community and he can also be found getting his hands dirty working the family farm in Great Falls.
Eyebrows should be pleasantly raised with the endorsement of Governor and Senator George Allen and former U.S. Representative Tom Davis.
Allen states, “I’m proud to endorse Craig Parisot in the special election for the 34th House of Delegates district. As a family man, veteran and successful entrepreneur, Craig has the experience and background to help grow our economy and create jobs. Craig will be an energetic and strong voice for Virginia families in Richmond in the hardworking tradition of Barbara Comstock and I respectfully ask you to join me in supporting his campaign.
Scores of prominent members of the business community turned out last night to show support and meet Parisot’s charming wife Kristin, an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and their eight week old infant son.
So pass the word and turn out Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colvin Run Elementary School, 1400 Trap Rd, Vienna, VA 22182 — and vote Parisot. This is a man who clearly is what Virginia needs in the House of Delegates.
