“How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!” – John Muir
Our winter wonderland view out the window this morning after Monday’s snowstorm dropped about 6 inches of granulated sugar-fine snow in this corner of Augusta County.
… but I was peeking out with the camera before the sun rose behind the ridge.
The temperature was 10 degrees this morning but has risen to 22 degrees at 10:30 a.m. Schools are closed and VDOT is suggesting anyone who needs to travel be extremely careful on snow-covered roads. Neighbors are out helping neighbors clear driveways and sidewalks while little ones in brightly-colored hats, gloves, and coats are sledding and throwing snowballs.
