Comstock announces Military Academy Day in 10th District

Congresswoman Barbara Comstock announced the upcoming 10th Congressional District Military Academy Day that will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Loudoun County Public School Administration Building. The event is free and open to all students, parents, and guidance staff who are interested in learning more about the nation’s military service academies.

The congresswoman expressed great pleasure in seeing this event once again return to the 10th District:

“Our military service academies educate and train the future leaders of the greatest fighting force in the world. I look forward meeting the young men and women from the 10th Congressional District who have an interest not only serving their country but enriching themselves with an education that will turn them into future leaders of our great country.”

Representatives from all of the service academies will be in attendance: Army, Navy, Air Force, Merchant Marine, and Coast Guard.

There will also be representatives from the Marine Corps ROTC program, the Virginia Army National Guard, Virginia Military Institute, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and the Citadel have also been invited.

Additionally, the American Legion and Randolph-Macon Academy will be represented.

Each of the academies will make a presentation from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. That will be followed with student networking until 1:00 p.m.
