It’s baack! Finally. Many have shared that the two-minute trailer to the new Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, that will be released at Christmas, gave them goosebumps. The reaction from Star Wars fans far and wide has electrified social media.
In the movie clip, Luke Skywalker in a slow, deliberate voiceover is heard saying, “The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it.” Then he adds mysteriously, “And you have the power, too.”
Various landscape and action scenes are seen before closing with pilot Han Solo and his long-time loyal co-pilot Chewbacca looking, presumably, through the window of a space craft as Han smiles and says, “Chewie, we’re home.”
Geek Tyrant has more at J. J. Abrams on Fan Reaction to Stars Wars: The Force Awakens trailer:
StarWars.com has released a video interview with director J.J. Abrams from a livestream they did yesterday from Star Wars Celebration after the big Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel. In it, the director talks about the fans’ reaction to the trailer, how he felt leading up to the big reveal, the awesomeness of the Star Wars fan base, and more. The guy says that he’s just honored to play a small part in such a huge legacy. Abrams seems to completely understand Star Wars and the fans, and I think that allowed him to do something really special with The Force Awakens that George Lucas could not have done.
Meanwhile, the countdown continues….
