An interesting post showed up on Facebook Saturday night, written by Michael Farris, the conservative homeschool advocate who founded and is chairman of Home School Legal Defense Association, founded and is chancellor of Patrick Henry College, is a Christian husband and dad, and once ran for public office as a Republican.
His straight-forward remarks on Facebook concerned Donald Trump who is running for the Republican nomination for the 2016 presidential election:
Donald Trump. Are we out of our ever loving minds?
I hear conservatives defending him. Worse, I hear Christian conservatives defending him.
I thought we were the people who thought Bill Clinton was unqualified to be president because of his lack of moral character.
Over the years Trump has made it plain that he considers Bill Clinton an amateur while he is a world class lecher.
He has a history of leftist views. He is committed to his own ego beyond anything else.
I don’t care if he is bold. I don’t care if he says some things that others are afraid to say.
I will never support Donald Trump. Republicans would never again be able to say that we value moral character or family values if we support Donald Trump.
If it comes down to Donald and Hillary, I will run as an independent.
The man deserves no attention. We send no compliments to the mothers of his supporters. I am most thoroughly displeased.
Watch for The Donald to slam Farris in three … two … one….
