U.S. House debates Iran nuclear deal … schedule for Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015

Today Congress will debate the Iran issue, the nuclear program presented by President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry that has overwhelming Republican disapproval. Here is the schedule from Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s office….

On Wednesday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for morning hour and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business. First and last votes expected: 1:302:30 p.m.

H. J. Res. 64 – Disapproving of the agreement transmitted to Congress by the President on July 19, 2015, relating to the nuclear program of Iran (Closed Rule) (Sponsored by Rep. Ed Royce / Foreign Affairs Committee / Financial Services Committee / Judiciary Committee / Oversight and Government Reform Committee / Ways and Means Committee)

The Rule provides for ten hours of debate equally divided among the committees of jurisdiction with a final period of debate, which shall not exceed one hour, controlled by the Committee on Foreign Affairs
