Get Your Hands in the Dirt

Plants from Milmont Nursery wait to be potted … Hanging baskets look skimpy now but will be overflowing in a couple of months …

Working in the potting shed under the deck …

Lawn furniture is in place along with the hammock for summer lounging …

Terra cotta pots wait for flowers….

Dirt … spring planting sunshine … outdoors.

It’s almost time for my annual trip to Milmont Greenhouse in Stuarts Draft to look over the annuals for this year’s potted plants. Our safe frost date is May 15 in the Valley so we have a bit longer to wait although it has been a mild weather year. These pics were taken during a previous spring planting.

It’s spring … get your hands in the dirt.

Smell the clean air and green grass, and enjoy spring in the Shenandoah Valley….
