Delegate Steve Landes (R-25th House District) announced Monday that he will seek an eleventh term in the Virginia House of Delegates, an area that includes parts of Augusta, Albemarle, and Rockingham counties. He will have a Democratic opponent, Angela Lynn, who announced last week that she would seek the Democratic nomination to run against Landes (see 25th House District: Landes to have Democratic challenger).
Delegate Landes currently serves as chairman of the House Education Committee, Vice Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and is a member of the House Rules and Privileges and Elections Committees.
Landes and wife Angela, an Augusta County assistant commonwealth’s attorney, have a son and live in Augusta County. He is vice president of market development for Blue Ridge Bank.
