Latest 2016 poll shows Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton as frontrunners

The Associated Press-GfK released a new poll Saturday to gauge public reaction to 2016 presidential candidates. The results were good news for Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.

Governor Bush led the field of Republican possibilities with 56 percent. Hillary Clinton led the Democratic field with 71 percent.

Kansas primary: Roberts defeats tea party challenger Wolf

The closely-watched Kansas primary between Senator Pat Roberts and his tea party challenger Milton Wolf was called Tuesday night by the Associated Press with 71 percent of precincts reporting. Roberts led Wolf 48 to 41 percent.

Tonight: World record Appalachian Trail hiker in Staunton

While hiking in Australia, Jennifer Pharr Davis encountered a five-foot-tall emu on the trail running straight toward her, an encounter she didn’t think would end well. At the last minute, she said, the emu veered off the trail but she had seen her life flash before her eyes.
