RPV trips over Twitter

GOP elephant laughingBy Lynn R. Mitchell

I almost spewed Diet Coke on my keyboard this morning reading the latest from Matt Colt Hall over at Bearing Drift (see Really RPV? Chris Christie is Bernie Sanders?).

By now just about everyone in the political junkie club has heard about the Republican Party of Virginia’s Twitter mishap on Tuesday. Matt takes a humorous look at what has to be one of the more prominent shake-your-head moments at RPV, noting:

When RPV decides to cut staff, not raise money, piss off donors, worry about litmus’ tests on incumbents instead of trying to get more Republicans elected, it’s easy to lose sight of the details. And when you lose sight of the details, no wonder you mess up like this.

My laugh of the day … make it yours!

Cleveland! Tweet your preference for 2016 GOP Convention

ClevelandBy Lynn R. Mitchell

The Republican National Committee has provided a way to add your two cents’ worth about where to hold the 2016 national convention. There’s a push for Cleveland in a swing state where GOP votes will be needed in 2016. So be sure to Tweet:

@RNCSiteVote: #Cleveland

Why Cleveland? We need Ohio! Republican Governor John Kasich would be welcoming with open arms.

But primarily Republicans need Ohio. Be sure to tweet #Cleveland.
