The clouds in the sky over the Shenandoah Valley were especially interesting on Saturday and so I pulled out my camera and began to take pictures throughout the warm spring day. This was the view of the Appalachians from my neighborhood with clouds above the ridges.
There were signs of spring everywhere in the Valley including blooming trees, green grass, and trees there were beginning to leaf out in green. This is a neighbor’s yard full of spring colors.
The redbuds have been beautiful this year.
Dogwoods are in full bloom on the back roads of Augusta County.
Spring has arrived along the Skyline Drive. We grabbed a late lunch and headed to Shenandoah National Park to find a quiet place to tailgate and take in the views.

The clouds made interesting patterns in the sky even early Saturday evening.
